Mark your calendars! From July 5 to August 27, 2010, Little Rae Kid’s Club is offering an 8-week summer camp program for children who are entering Grade 1 to 4 this coming September 2010. Set in the beautiful West End of Vancouver, we’re our own tiny global village that accepts students from around the world.

Because kids of this age love to be active and thrive on adventure, our philosophy is to offer our campers a summer experience of fun-filled, themed activities and a variety of field trips. This year’s focus includes a kaleidoscope of outings encompassing the Lower Mainland’s spectacular natural scenery. Also this summer, we offer our Junior Leadership Program for campers that qualify (see information below).

Our Vancouver Summer Camp provides your child with the chance to develop character, learn social skills, make new friends and discover new interests. Little Rae Kid’s Club offers a combination of outdoor and indoor action-packed adventures each week.

Vancouver Summer Camp Rates

Our weekly fee is $175.00/5 days week and $140.00/4 days week.

For non-residents, the weekly fee is $225.00/5 days week and $180.00/4 days week.

Fees include transportation and any admission costs.

Weekly schedules, and more details about the Junior Leadership Summer Program, will be ready for pick-up (or mailing) by June 15, 2010.

Vancouver Summer Camp Activities

Children will explore some of Vancouver’s best parks: Yaletown Park, Central Park, Stanley Park, Queen?s Park, Ambleside Park, Douglas Park, Granville Island Park, Connaught Park, McBride Park, Trimble Park and more. Also, beaches such as Kits Beach, Second Beach, Jericho Beach, Spanish Banks and English Bay.

We'll visit many favourite water parks, such as Granville Island Water Park, Lumberman’s Arch Water Park (in Stanley Park), Harbour Green Water Park and Maple Grove Outdoor Pool. Rainy day activities include arts and crafts, indoor gym games, Bingo, Jeopardy, and one of our favourite days, Spa-Day!

Our Vancouver summer camp is designed to keep your child active and stimulated the whole day, from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm.

Coinciding with our daily events and activities, we will also implement our new Junior Leadership Summer Program. This will be offered to children that want to apply, andˇwho fall into the program's qualifying age group.

In general, over the 8 weeks, we will guide Junior Leaders in the practice and exploration of concepts that encourage them to share kindnesses and skills. We'll provide exercises and games to promote teamwork, and focus the Leaders on goal-setting, organization, problem-solving, responsibility, and communication skills. All of our campers will have a chance to initiate their own projects or games with the help of a "buddy" Junior Leader. It?s about sharing and relationship-building. As with all the children, we'll utilize positive guidance techniques to keep the Leaders motivated and they'll be supported every step of the way.

From incorporating this program over the school year, we've discovered it to be exciting and creative for the whole group, and a further strengthening of the "kids" club community? at Little Rae Kid’s Club.
